This former coaching inn at the westerly approach to Fochabers has a snug public bar (Ghillies Bar), accessed from a side lane (West Street) or by walking through the hotel from the front door and past the reception area, adorned by prints of salmon pools of the world famous River Spey.
The village is the first leg of the scenic Speyside Way, a walk from Buckie to Aviemore. The local cricket team also uses the bar.
Good range of quality malts available and a good range of quality meals are served in the lounge and restaurant. Baxter's factory and visitor centre is close by.
The town has now a new bypass, opened in 2012, and you no longer take your life in your hands crossing the road!
Only one beer on these days but bar still has three pumps. Pump clips behind the bar are a reminder of previous guest ales.
This Pub serves no changing beers and 1 regular beer.
