The current community hall was erected in 1932 at the bequest of a local resident who served in the British armed forces during World War I. The Royal British Legion use the hall as a regular meeting venue and other community groups also use the hall for meeting purposes and social activities making use of the large hall and snooker tables. A planing application to demolish the existing hall and replace it with a new hall as part of a residential development was refused in January 2016.
