This Pub is Permanently Closed

Sadly, the pub closed in September 2012. A number of planning applications (four in number) were submitted from January 2012 until March 2016.

Planning application reference number, 16/00554/FUL, dated Thu 24 Mar 2016, proposed "Demolition of existing building, erection of 13-17 storey building (plus basement) comprising 267 student bedrooms, associated student support facilities, 462sqm of retail space (Class A1/A3), 420sqm of commercial office (Class B1) & associated external works". Grant conditionally, Wed 15 Mar 2017.

The pub was demolished on 30 October 2017. No building work has been started since the pub was demolished. A further planning application was submitted in January 2019.
