Closed as a pub on 4 July 2024 and plans for site to be converted entirely to hotel use as a Premier Inn with bar for use of residents only.
Historic Interest
Opened in the 1840s as Crabbe's Inn but was re-named the Glegg Arms by 1850 when it was listed under that name in Bagshaw's Directory. An Argyle Brewery pub transferred to Birkenhead Brewery in 1866. The old photos show the pub at various times in its history. A Whitbread pub from the 1980s. On a major roundabout on the outskirts of Heswall, until its closure on 4 July 2024 it was a pub and Beefeater restaurant with a Premier Inn with a very large garden set back from the road,
