This is an attractive 17C inn, the local CAMRA Rural Pub of the Year 2024, serving two guest ales from West Country independents, plus Blindmans King George the Thirst, that is exclusively brewed for pub. They also host two beer festivals a year. Four traditional ciders are available with Stones and Pilton as cider regulars. There is a large main bar, a snug with fireplace, family room and separate dining room. The food is highly recommended, home-cooked using locally sourced ingredients. Themed food nights. Skittle alley/meeting room to rear. Large garden with covered terrace. Peter and Veryan, the excellent landlords, have now been at the George for over 24 years.
