"I can confirm that the old entrance to the Dickens bar is in disrepair and the guy at the hotel entrance said that the bar was no more."

Dating back to at least as far as 1423. Some original coaching inn features, remain including Tudor Archways and a very attractive cobbled stone courtyard. The main entrance from King Street still contains some of the original timbers. No real ale but Cobra & Kingfisher beers on keg plus bottled beers available. There is access to the Bhel Puri Indian street food restaurant, whose food can be consumed in the bar area.
