This Pub is Permanently Closed

Converted 1/5/1999 to become offices. Closed 1/5/1999. History: Former large street-corner Wilson's house, latterly John Smiths. It became a J Smiths house in the 1980 when pub-swaps were encouraged by government. Stagger in Opening Times magazine July 1999 reported closed and boarded; Opening Times magazine April 2001 reported being converted to non-pub use.
