Sizeable, many roomed hotel, pub and restaurant just off the A40. Large pleasant garden complete with brook. Built in 1068, the pub is mentioned in the Doomsday Book and became a coaching inn in the 17th century, and in more recent times was extensively refurbished by Brakspear.

Breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and evening meals are served. Winner of a National 2022 Pub and Bar Award .
