A Wetherspoon situated between the Hallamshire hospital and botanical gardens. Changing cask beers include beers from local breweries Bradfield, Acorn and Beermats, which in Summer will be a Blonde/Pale or Golden session beer and in Winter will be a Porter/Stout. They also have two Thornbridge keg beers on sale all year round.

Historic Interest

This pub is on the Sheffield Local Inventory of Historic Pub Exteriors. Broombank House was built for the wealthy cutlery manufacturer Francis Newton, as his family home. The Georgian-style house was within easy walking or riding distance of his Portobello Works. In 1844, Newton was elected Master Cutler, the head of the prestigious Company of Cutlers.
