Out in the far reaches of our area, the Fox House is a popular destination for dining and has several dining areas, some with great views over the moors. Run by the Millas family for many years, it changed hands in 2025, reopening that August. Much of the refurbishment work was behind the scenes but the interior has been fully refreshed with new furniture, carpets etc; the carvery area in the main dining room has also been removed. Although food is hugely important here, the owners state they are keen 'to bring back the community pub atmosphere tat made the Fox House a favourite gathering place for farmers, locals and visitors alike'. The six real ales are generally all from Yorkshire.
