A village local, built 1728, overlooking the green and retaining the original outbuildings once used for stabling horses. The small bar is half wood panelled and the real fire gives it a cosy feel in winter. Pictures and memorabilia decorate the walls. The counter has a particularly fine set of Gaskell & Chambers handpumps, dating from 1925, that are still in use. The rear lounge has a coffee house feel. The courtyard offers sheltered outdoor drinking and is the smoking area and there is also a large garden area.
