Located on the Pennine Way and deservedly popular with locals and walkers. In the same hands for over 30 years, this 17th century inn has a spacious interior and offers good value food, served until 9pm in summer. Up to four guest ales are usually available, usually from local breweries such as Wensleydale, Yorkshire Dales and Theakston's. Sunday food hours may vary, so worth checking beforehand.
