Situated only a 2min walk from town centre, the pub is named after the cinema that once occupied the site opposite. It has a modern interior but with a classic feel and includes a number of brass plaques that were taken from the old Royal Court building. Live sport and background music often feature. Five hand pumps with two real ales always available, and a range of ciders. Food is served in the bar from the Thai restaurant above. Traditional board games and darts available. Local CAMRA Pub of the Year 2010 and 2011.

September 2025 report said that two of the five handpumps were in use for beer, one for cider.
