This Pub is Permanently Closed
Handsome twin-gabled 1930s roadhouse resplendent in Brewers' Tudor. Large U-shaped bar. Much potential, particularly on the cask beer front.
Situated at the Western outskirts of the large village of Wilmington, The Foresters traded from 1838 until its closure in 2018, having been rebuilt in 1931. It was demolished in 2020 to make room for much-needed housing, no doubt handsomely rewarding the owners in the process. A sad loss of a community asset with much potential.
Sadly, little is known about the history of this pub. It was trading as a Courage house in the 1960s and remained part of the Courage tied estate until the early 1990s.
