It is a former Oakwell pub that reopened in June 2013, but now independently owned. Up to three local beers are served. Drinks offers on Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday.

A Victorian corner pub, formerly a Shipstone's house, the Foresters' Inn was a beerhouse under publican Mrs. E. Mellors in 1868 (Wright).
