This Pub is Permanently Closed
New Bradwell or Bradwell (Stantonbury) as they used to call it, was built as an overflow for workers at the Wolverton Railway Works in around the late 18th to early 19th century. This pub was opened in the mid-19th Century along with several others to meet the workers' needs and was the last to be closed.
Several applications for Demolition of the Public House and erection of 9 residential dwellings were withdrawn (21/02137/FUL; 21/03758/FUL,22/00931/FUL ) and fourth application to convert pub to housing was refused but went to appeal (22/03135/FUL).
23/02448/FUL for erection of 7 dwellings and conversion of public house to two residential dwellings was Permitted 27/02/2024.
