This Pub is Closed Long Term
New Bradwell or Bradwell (Stantonbury) as they used to call it, was built as an overflow for workers at the Wolverton Railway Works in around the late 18th to early 19th century. This pub was opened in the mid-19th Century along with several others to meet the workers' needs and was the last to be closed.
This two bar public house has always been a drinkers' pub. Main bar has one hand pump, plus a pool table, TV & jukebox. The other bar has a dart board & pictures of the town in the 1900s. Limited parking to the side of pub, with a large beer garden at the back.
2 applications for Demolition of the Public House and erection of 9 residential dwellings were withdrawn (21/02137/FUL; 21/03758/FUL) and third application (22/00931/FUL) is listed as|"Pending Decision" but has now gone to appeal (22/00051/8WEEK). A later application (22/03135/FUL) has been refused.
This Pub serves no changing beers and 1 regular beer.
