A family run business, since 2003, the Ffrwd is a small road side freehouse in a rural setting close to the river Cegidog with a small nature reserve at the rear. Inside is a single bar, supported by a series of puncheon barrels, serving the bar room with open fire and a larger restaurant area. Good home cooked meals served every evening but lunch times only on Saturdays and Sundays. Wednesday's curry night is popular. The closest public transport, bus and train, is 3/4 mile away in Cefn y Bedd but there is no pavement along the road to the pub. The opening hours, particularly in the winter, can be variable so it pays to telephone. Real ale no longer available sadly but the food will not disappoint.
