Two star - A pub interior of very special national historic interest

Listed status: Not listed

The three surviving rooms here suggest that the layout is largely intact.

In the public bar, there is plain plain panelling on the walls and an old panelled counter with a shelved bar-back; most of the upper shelving is obscured by multiple optics and intrusive advertising whilst the lower shelving is mostly intact. Moving to the lounge, the curved counter has ribbed hardboard panelling and looks to be more recent than that in the public. Elsewhere in the room, the fireplace is difficult to date but could be old. At the end of the counter is an unusual sliding hatch.
