Historic Interest

In May 1981 this was a keg Whitbread pub. It wasn't until September 1987 when the pub was refurbished that cask beer appeared on the bar with Chesters Mild and Bitter, Hartleys XB and Pompey Royal. A social was held here on December 13th 1987. The Pub was listed in the 1989 Beer in Bolton Guide as selling Chesters Mild, Hartleys XB and Marstons Pedigree. The pub was listed at Pugh's auctions on 24/02/2011, but had been sold prior to this.
