This Pub is Closed Long Term

This pub has reverted to its former name having spent a few years as the Market Tafarn. A spacious interior partly reflects the old floor plan of bar and lounge. The decor is an effective combination of flagstone floor with light and grey colours, and a cosy carpetted area with exposed stonework near an old fireplace, both making for a pleasant drinking environment. Bottled Swedish ciders are an novel offering for the area. Interesting guest ales appear alongside the Doom Bar. The lunchtime menu covers a range of popular bar meals. Opening hours may be extended to all day in the summer months.

Reported closed via WhatPub on 2 June 2019 but thought to be a temporary closure while building work cintnues on its expansion into adjoing premises.
