One room, traditional CAMRA friendly street corner pub which serves 500 to 600 different ales per year. A pub since 1845 and originally called the Rabbit as this area was then called Coney Heath, coney being the old word for rabbit. In 1919 this was one of four pubs in which the dissidents met before marching into town and eventually ransacking and burning down the Town Hall. 1950's celebrity Diana Dors courted then wed the landlord's son.
