Large town centre pub placed among shops, between the indoor shopping centres and the sea front. The spacious single bar has five handpumps, but generally only two are in use. It offers well-kept cask ales and affordable pub-food, with a warm and friendly atmosphere whether you sit in the bar or watch the world go by from the street side tables.
