The Duck has developed a good reputation for locally produced food and has received many awards for its fine cuisine. The restaurant is divided into three tastefully decorated areas. Three hand pumps adorn the bar one of which is used for guest beers. Non-diners are very welcome. Outside is a covered smoking area and a well kept garden. The pub is a popular venue for tourists and bird watchers and can get busy at peak times. In 2024 a general store opened inside the gastropub.
