This Pub is Permanently Closed
Situated on the corner of Brook Street and Aqueduct Street, this Matthew Brown pub had a distinctive red and white tiled frontage - similar to the Lime Kiln and Princess Alice.
Our records show that it closed in 1982 and our photo shows the pub on the right, looking north up Brook Street. The empty pub managed to survive for many years before finally being demolished.
