This Pub is Permanently Closed
The Dover Castle traded from 1841 to 2010. It had been a Courage tied house in the second half of the 20th century, and darts featured strongly amongst the pub's attractions. A long-serving landlord during this period was Ken Hartley, who was very active in local charities.
After closure, it was converted to much-needed local accommodation, but is still very much identifiable as a former pub.
Other than the above, very little is known about this pub and any further information would be most welcome.
