Fine imposing building both inside and out, on the famous Penny Lane. Dovedale Towers was originally a rich ship-owner’s home and takes its name from a now demolished tower from which the River Mersey and its passing ships could be seen. It has also been an orphanage, a Russian Embassy and in 1969 briefly home to Freddie Mercury who lived in an upstairs flat when he was still known as Farrokh Bulsara and in the Liverpool based band Ibex.
Pub where Jurgen Klopp drinks keg Erdinger from handpump in the advert and then complains about the head, when if they had poured it properly from a bottle it might have been perfect.
This Pub serves 4 changing beers and 0 regular beers.
