Historic Interest
Originally it was a pub called the Dog and Pheasant and was a Greenall Whitley pub selling Mild and Bitter (E) and was included in the selective 1980 Greater Manchester Guide, it was closed for refurbishment in December 1981 and the cask beer was to be removed, the article had the famous fake advert Bright said Fred. It then became Amigo's in 1982 and there was a less than complimentary article about the pub in February 1982. By November 1983 it was selling Greenall Whitley Original Bitter and had been renamed the Loose Goose. and in December it confirmed that the Mild and Bitter were still Keg and Tank. By spring 1986 the pub had been renamed Rosie O'Gradys Fun Time Emporium followed by The Continental before becoming La Scala Restaurant in 1992.
