Dating from 1903, this cosy low-ceilinged village inn was named by its situation within the estate of the Earl of Dartmouth and is one of few pubs owned by the Crown Estate.
The comfortable public bar has a real fire in the cold months and much local history is displayed on the walls. A central servery links the bar and lounge. In the evening food is available in the lounge and the Little Italy restaurant only, the bar having just conversation and drinking.
