This is a restaurant, where drinking alcohol, including draught and bottled beer, is only allowed when food is being consumed.
Originally opened as a large wooden shed bought second hand from a garden centre in Liverpool, then came Mark 2 version, a larger wooden shed via an eBay purchase followed by a far more respectable stone building that we see today. There is a small conference/classroom available to hire as well as the large dining area complete with a baby grand piano. Panoramic views over the old mill reservoir, now used for Fly Fishing (6 acres) and Course Fishing (1 acre) is now a private members fishing club where annual membership is required. As you might expect the food menu is fish orientated. Ideally located for walkers venturing out onto the West Pennine moors near Winter Hill. There is an unusual collection of large safari animals in the grounds. (see photos). Breakfast menu available 9am to 2pm. Main menu kicks in at 11am. The former Fishing tackle Shop has been converted to an Ice Cream Parlour and is very popular on the warmer sunny days.
