This Pub is Closed Long Term

Formerly the Temple Inn, the Crusader was purchased in 1919 for the princely sum of £1,450. At the time a seventh of its annual income had to be paid each Michaelmas to the Lord of the Manor – fortunately the manorial rights have since been abolished!

Located in the heart of Roydon, just a short drive from nearby Nazeing and Harlow, The Crusader provides lunches and relaxed meals outdoors or inside. Sunday roasts and chargrilled meat cuts are specialities.
