This Pub is Permanently Closed
The Crow's Nest was a pub in the Pepys Estate in Deptford- a large council estate built on the site of the former Royal Naval Dockyard. The pub itself was located above Grove Street on the main walkway that, along with its tributaries, connected the various residential buildings in the area. This walkway also historically contained a fish and chip shop as well as a newsagent/corner shop.
Exact dates for the pub are unknown, however the Pepys Estate was completed in 1973, and so the pub is likely from around that time. In the 1990s, the main walkways on Grove Street were demolished and so this is when the pub would have been closed and demolished.
