Update 12th January 2020: pub still closed and boarded up. Broken fence at side of pub with lots of fly-tipping. Pub does seem to be marked any longer.

Planning app 20/3580,Prior approval for demolition of public house. Conclusion

The prior approval for the demolition of a building formally in use as a public house premises is not considered to comply with the requirements of Schedule 2 Part 11 Class B of the GPDO 2015 (as amended). Prior approval is required and refused.

The application was submitted 4/11/20 and refused 2/12/20.

The letter from the Planning Consultants is interesting in that it claims the lease holder (Greene King - ex Spirit) is required to clear the site before handing back to the Wellington Pub Company!
