This Pub is Permanently Closed
The Cross Roads Inn in Bainsford was located on SE corner with David's Loan. It was purpose-built as a pub circa 1901 by architect Alexander Gauld, although it likely replaced an older pub dating back to 1878. Known locally as the Big Bar in its latter years, the building suffered fire damage in 2005 and lay empty until 2019 as the condition of the pub and flats above deteriorated. In Feb 2019 it was finally demolished and the site was still vacant (as of Apr 2023).
