This pub was built in 1909 in the small village of Wroot. Popular, and well supported by locals, this is a genuine village pub. One of the rooms displays posters from past performances of the village pantomime. Also home to a local football team. There are four separate rooms, two bars, a games room and a snug. This is a drinker's pub. Various food vans attend at various times. See Facebook for details. In Summer 2025, after many years in the Good Beer Guide, they suddenly stopped selling cask ale and is now keg only.
