An old coaching Inn, that is now a pub and hotel. No longer a Weatherspoon (from May 2024) but under the ownership of a local hotel group. The suntrap front courtyard leads into the pleasant, rambling, wood-panelled main area which is low-ceilinged and furnished with tables and chairs and booths with bench seating. Steps lead up to the excellent rear beer garden. The serving area is tucked away to the left of the entrance and has high tables and chairs. Round to the right are more booths and tables, a pool table and large TV. Upstairs is a smaller bar / function space, which also opens to the beer garden. Food is served all day with breakfast till 11.30 and main meals from noon.
NOTE: Alcoholic drinks are served from 11am. Opens at 3pm and no food served Monday and Tuesday in winter.
