A proper family-run Weardale pub, popular with holidaymakers and locals, adjacent to the A689. The ancient 17th-century building has a pleasant interior with a lively, welcoming bar and a restaurant providing relaxed dining. Allendale Brewery beers feature regularly, and there is a pleasant beer garden to the rear.
