This Pub is Permanently Closed
Standing beside the steep five locks section of the Monmouthshire & Brecon canal, close to a canal basin, this large pub has three rooms. The public bar is well laid out and has games such as darts and pool. A door gives access to the lounge which has a couple of seated recesses and two handpumps. Both rooms display commemorative Welsh rugby union mirrors among other things. Off the lounge is a dining room which looks out onto the rear of the premises. Food is popular and booking is advised. Real ale has recently been reintroduced here with sometimes two guest ales.
