This Pub is Permanently Closed

Demolished 1/9/1992, site is now housing. Closed 1/2/1992. History: Former Chesters, latterly Whitbread 1970s new-build estate style house. Its original name was the Old Brewery, becoming the Crescent some time later. Originally fronted Fort Beswick before re-development. Location fairly accurate. Opening Times magazine March 1992 reported closure; Opening Times magazine Sept 1992 reported demolition.
