Cornish theme pub accessed by stairs os first floor above West Cornwall Pasty Co outlet. Opened c.2002. The bar is decorated with a nautical theme and is dimly lit, mimicking a Cornish tin mine with :wo separate rooms off. The bar top itself is male of one half of a Falmouth fishing boat, with fishing-related pictures on the walls. No TV or gaming machines. Two Skinners cask beers from Truro are dispensed through handpumps but using a mixed gas system to raise the beer from the cellar, two floors below. The beers (£2.50 a pint) are Betty Stogs Bitter (4.0%) and Cornish Knocker Ale (4.5%. A keg beer - Ice Blonde Cornish Wheat Beer (5%) is also dispensed. The possibility of serving beers direct from cooled casks behind the bar is being considered. A balcony, with heated lanterns, overlooks the Piazza. Food. Open all permitted hours.
