Originally built as Holly House in the 1750s for a lawyer, this unusual building was converted, at great cost, into the Bass House, complete with small beer gardens to the back and front. Now known as the Courtyard, it has two bar areas, two dining areas and a large panelled pool room. The decor, accompanied by dark timbers, is a touch Georgian, whilst a column opposite the entrance was a feature of the original stairwell.
