Courtneys, Bolton

The bar opened in July 1977 as Corks Wine Bar, In May 1981 it was and would continue to be a keg only late night bar, until in January 1989 it became Corks Cafe Bar and started selling Draught Bass and was visited on a Town Centre social on January 27th 1989. By June 1990 the Draught Bass had been replaced with Stones Bitter, which by March 1991 was £1.16 a pint. It was listed as selling Stones Bitter in the Great North Western Beer Festival Programme 1992. By the Winter of 1993 the Stones Bitter had been replaced by Worthington Bitter. In September 1997 the bar was renamed as O'Neills an Irish themed bar, at this point it lost its cask beer, never to return. After O'Neills it became Courtneys, the name it carried when it closed
