Large multi-roomed Marston's (former Banks's) house. That said, when you get inside, it appears considerably smaller than you think. Comfortable pub in the usual plan of vault and lounge, split by the central bar. Real ale was reintroduced early 2014 at the request of loyal regulars, whose preferred tipple was Wychwood's Hobgoblin; sadly cask ale was dropped in early 2017. Has two pool tables and also boasts its own football team. Function room is available for hire: capacity is 150.

Historic Interest

Opened c.1960 new-build Wilsons Brewery house, acquired by Marstons in 2000s.
