This Pub is Permanently Closed
Built in 1908, the Colliers Arms remains part of the Sams Bar group but since March 2013 has been returned its original name. A small, friendly, street-corner pub with a large open room on the left and a number of small but comfortably-upholstered booths on the right, still retaining its impressive high ceilings and covings. Now managed by Nick du Toit (well-respected South African ex-Wigan Rugby League player, but perhaps more importantly, ex CAMRA-award winning manager of the Hare & Hounds, Billinge). Lots of Rugby League memorabilia adorn the walls. Close enough to the town centre to add to any Wigan pub crawl, but also very handily placed on the stroll to the DW stadium on Wigan RL/FC match days.
