The Cock Inn is located just outside the small market town of Rochford, in an affluent country area. The building was originally a 1700s farm house. Over the years it has been extended and given two or three different names. There was also a brewery to the back of the pub. Today it still has a traditional look with oak beams and old fashioned fireplaces. Inside, the upstairs has a balcony looking down on the bar below and is popular for dining. This is a very safe, comfortable venue, attracting many women who feel happy to come in alone or in small groups to enjoy a meal or drink. The background music is low and there is no pool or other sports to spoil the atmosphere. Food can be chosen from a main menu offering good pub food at reasonable prices. There is an extensive range of wines to choose from to accompany your meal or a selection of real ales if preferred. Along with the patio area, they have a large beer garden outside which is very popular during the summer months.
