The Coach and Four is large Hydes pub located near the near the centre of Wilmslow. It started life as a coaching inn in the 18th century. Comfortably furnished with several separate seating are spread around a central bar, also with a separate restaurant area. There are two real fires and photographs of old Wilmslow add interest. The pub is part of its community supporting local charities with theme nights and events. There is a quiz night on Wednesdays and free live music every Friday evening. A group meet every Wednesday to play dominoes and there is a comedy night on the first Thursday of each month in the upstairs function room. Hydes beers feature exclusively, two regulars plus a seasonal. Food from an interesting and regularly changing menu is served in both the bar and restaurant. Accommodation is available in the attached Wilmslow Lodge and consequently the pub is open for breakfasts from 7am but alcohol is only available from 11am. An outside smoking area is provided. Hydes Platinum Card for over 60s gives 20% off food Mon-Thu.
