This Pub is Closed Long Term

The pub has been subject to a community campaign to reopen it following closure in January 2016 with support from Ercall Magna Parish Council. The previous owners lost a planning appeal and were ordered to restore and reopen the pub, subsequently having to invest heavily in the pub before leaving it unfinished.

Previous description:

Old style village pub complete with Bowling Green that is the home venue of the local Bowls club. Located right on the junction with Shrewsbury Road in the village centre. One of the guest is normally always a Ludlow beer mainly Best or Gold. The landlord is gradually re-introducing some of the original Victorian features of the building that were covered up or removed by previous owners of this pub. Will be serving food from Easter 2014 with Tea Room Style menu during the day, Bar & Restaurant menus and a separate Sunday Lunch menu available. Opening times can vary please call ahead.
