This popular eating house, situated across from Rampside Lighthouse, has magnificent views over Morecambe Bay and Piel Island. It is a convenient base for walkers who wish to explore the Furness Peninsula.

Historic Interest

Although the current building dates from the early 20th century, the original property was built in 1720. The son of the original property owners married a cousin of William Wordsworth who is believed to have stayed here with his sister Dorothy on a number of occasions.
