In 1874 Whte's Directory omibuses were operating from the Clapham hotel to Southwold daily (but the pub is not named sepatately in the directory). Now a shop. Photographs of this pub and more up-to-date and detailed information about it can be found at suffolkcamra.co.uk/pubs/pub/656
