Attractive thatched pub in the heart of the village which originates from the 17th century with various different drinking and dining areas. Two regular ales available and an occasional guest beer which may be from a local brewery. Good food with a high standard of service and open for breakfast at 10am on Saturday/Sundays. The pub has a large, enclosed patio area with heating and an in-house "Cork and Bottle Shop" which has wines and bottled beers from local breweries. The Chequers Coffee Shop is open from 9 a.m. Mon to Fri and 10 a.m. at weekends.
