This Pub is Closed Long Term

Closed for good on 5/8/24 after 20 odd years. Pemises is for sale.The erstwhile owners are opening a new Thai resataurant / bar called Jupjup on neatrby Tower Street.

The former Globe pub is now a bustling bar just across the passageway from the Thai restaurant. The Thai theme is carried on to the bar with its Thai BBQs and Thai snacks and themed meals. The bar is the home of the town’s artistic set and examples of their work are displayed on the walls. The seating is comfortable and the ambience is relaxed and cosmopolitan (for Ludlow). One of the 15 pubs in the Branch area appearing in the 1974 Good Beer Guide. It was brief but here's what it said! "Greenall Whitley (Wem)" Also it was once owned by the Wrekin Brewery of Wellington. Formerly the 'Chang Thai Restaurant & Globe Bar', it was rebranded as the 'Chang Thai Bar & Restaurant' in 2014, Under the same management as the nearby Blue Boar.
